We arrived much later than planned due to the cancellation of several trains because of a typhoon, and were very surprised to see someone waiting for us at the train station with a car. The meals are visually beautiful, very tasty and abundant, the staff is very friendly, the facilities ate simple, traditional and enjoyable

Wonderful characterful place and host. Most charming stay of our Japanese travel. Wished we could have stayed longer

The room was traditional and surprisingly large. The location very near to the train station was great and the food was lovely. We were served a wonderful steamed fish dish for dinner along with a delicious sake tasting. The host really made us feel welcome. Tsuwano is a real gem, and I would totally recommend Hoshi Ryokan.
