The owner/hostess, Fatma, is super friendly, kind, helpful, flexible, and committed to making your stay in Momnbasa as enjoyable as possible. She was also very responsive and patient with my many email questions. The location in the heart of the Old Town is perfect, a few steps from the water and easy walking distance to good restaurants and the sights of Old Town. In particular, we recommend nearby Forodhani Restaurant with a lovely and breezy patio setting on the water, located only 400 metres away. Fort Jesus is about 500 metres away. Tuk tuks are numerous if you want to go further afield, to the Mackinnon Market, for example, where many of the free walking tours begin. The apartment itself is ground level, secure, very clean, and perfect for our group of 5 adults. One bedroom has a queen bed and a single, the other has a queen. We stayed only one night but in restrospect, would probably have preferred two nights so that our Mombasa activites weren't quite so rushed. Finally, of course, the price of the apartment is unbeatable, somewhere between $50-$55 US for the 5 of us. In short, highly recommended.

Very happy with the stay at Elna's Nyali, we had a switch to an apartment in an other building on the groundfloor , we also had excess to a swimming pool just outside the apartment, very happy with our stay . The original apartment that we booked where in an other building and next to a shared kitchen you share with other guests, when we checked in it was quite noisy from the shared kitchen as a whole family was there enjoying and playing music, I asked to be moved to an other apartment as it would be to noisy from the kitchen as I was going to work from the apartment during daytime. The other apartment that we got was superb and quiet, had a great stay 🙏

I have no words to express the place, it is in a great location which is safe & just 5 mins from the beach, the house is equipped with all the amenities you will need & has an air conditioner which is superb & cold, the host jeff was very helpful & helped us with everything we needed. A really nice studio apartment with air conditioning and a large bathroom. The apartment is located on the second floor of an apartment complex on the side facing away from the sea and is the last in the corridor. We were kindly welcomed with a coconut drink at the reception, which is responsible for the whole house and also does the housekeeping. In addition to a pool and restaurant, the resort offers a fitness room and direct beach access with loungers. The beach is simply gorgeous and even if you walk along 1.5h you hardly meet people compared to other locations. The host is very helpful and nice. It was really inconvenient for us to have to shorten our stay because there was a delay in our 1700km trip through East Africa. Although the deadline for changes had expired, our travel dates were changed free of charge. Thank you again for this. We can only recommend the location and the apartment and would gladly spend a longer time there again.
