Villa 42 is, in short a hidden gem. For anyone looking for comfort, privacy and wonderful hospitality they won't get any better than this lovely villa just half a mile or so from gorgeous (mostly empty) beaches and several decent restaurants (ask Siri for recommendations). Siri will provide his pampered guests with the best of breakfasts adapting tp personal taste (Sri Lankan style or to more western taste). Siri's well maintained swimming pool will be your refreshing reward after a few hours of Sri Lankan heat.

Wow! what an incredible nice family who runs the place! we felt so welcomed here :) the room was spotless clean and very spacious & bathroom was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and tasty most foods had it. we loved to relax on the outdoor balcony and here the birds singing, overlooking a very calm neighborhood. we also absolutely loved the short walk to the beach, we met many sweet locals on the way, there are restaurants and a long beach - and there is a corner shop which provides everything you’ll need :) the wifi was the fastet and best we had so far! it’s a 10/10 - highly recommend to stay here! thank you so much Ramesh and his family for everything! We will come back again that place to stay longtime.

A beautiful villa right by the beach — a perfect place to relax and immerse yourself in the soothing sound of the waves. The rooms are huge, elegantly furnished, and each has an additional space that serves as a living room. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace with a spectacular view of the ocean. However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the fantastic food. Every single dish we ordered was delicious — hands down the best food we had during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. We spent every day at the beach, where in the afternoons we could watch traditional fishing methods, and some of the fresh catch even ended up on our plates later! We also took a tour organized through the villa. We highly recommend the river safari, which includes a must-visit stop at Cinnamon Island and a local temple.

This is truly a hidden gem. If you book Dinesh's place you will get what is in the photos but at the same time you will get sooooo much more that can't be captured by a camera. You get the honor of being accepted by a local Sri Lankan family as one of their own. This warm hearted family will go to extra lengths to make you feel like in a home away and hard to leave :-). Compared to tourist hot spots in Sri Lanka, Dinuli is offering a unique experience at a reasonable price. Bottom line is if you are after something authentic this is a place for you and not a hotel with 24 hour service. Apart from accommodation, beach is amazing and for a change you can actually swim without being slammed by huge waves. They are manageable. You will not make a mistake if you book Dinuli. Thanks Dinesh and Tatta and whole family for a wonderful stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the sea-view villa and dining at the beach restaurant, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The room was just good; it was exceptional. Immaculately clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The view from the room was breathtaking, with the beach right in front of us. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the sight of the endless sea was a dream come true. The beach restaurant didn't disappoint either. The food was not only delicious but also served with a touch of elegance. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident. Dear Nishanthi and Wasantha. You are the greatest hosts we’ve ever met! All the credit for our amazing holiday must be given to you as it was the first place we stayed during our travel, and the vibe you shared with us didn’t leave us up to the last day in Sri Lanka. Your attitude is incredible. We felt like being at home. The way you met us the first day (with flower garlands which smelled like heaven), the way you treated us during the stay (ready to help with literally anything we needed) - everything breathed love at your house. Your attitude really exceeds all the expectations. To those who are considering a stay at the place, please, don’t hesitate. This is going to be an eye-opening experience to what a 10 out of 10 is. No, this can’t be 10. We would give the hosts 10 times more if it was possible❤️. As for the cleanliness - it was incredibly spotless. This was the cleanest place we had ever visited throughout all our journeys. As for the breakfasts - oh, this was something unbelievable. Everything was so tasty, served so neatly. And the balcony, where our breakfasts were served, overlooks the lovely garden, so you can see some lovely birds, squirrels and enjoy the sounds of them while having your breakfast. They give you a small bag where you can put whatever you haven’t eaten, so you can take it with you to the beach or put it in the fridge (the room facilities are also provided) and eat it later. Another thing, which is worth mentioning, is the fresh flowers arranged around the room and on the balcony. So the place smelled so fresh, so nice. You can really see that they pay great attention to detail. Regarding the beach, it’s a three-minute walk from the house and you are going to be really surprised in a good way as it is not crowded at all and, as a result, very clean. So you can enjoy your time at the beach with no plastic thrown around it. There are also good cafes along the beach with quite affordable prices.

This family-run compound, set off the main road and nestled in the forest, is an absolute delight. The staff, including all family members, are friendly, warm, and happy to help with whatever you need. The food is fantastic; it is all homecooked, and they will facilitate whatever you want. We are both vegetarian and the food that was provided was the best we had eaten in Sri Lanka. The nearby beach, accessible by free tuk-tuk ride, is simply the most magnificent, untrammelled beach I have ever seen. Spotless, golden sands, warm blue water and stunning scenery. The rooms are enormous with comfortable beds, clean (outdoor!) bathroom and a lovely porch. The entire resort was spotless. We spent 11 days in Sri Lanka in total, across a range of different style accommodations, 5* to 2* hotels and this was easily the best place we stayed.

    Such a hospitality of the villa owners! They made us feel like home. The room was very clean. We got everything we needed to stay 11 nights. Great shower and comfortable bed. Lovely terrace to spend evenings. Having a fridge was also a huge plus. It was lovely hearing singing birds in the garden and watching wildlife. I miss our mornings having lovely breakfasts in the terrace!

    We loved the Villa 826 Ahungalla. The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. Had a amazing bathroom with hot water and great shower. Great location, few minutes from the beach. It is very long and so beautiful. Owner was very kindly, friendly and helpful with everything. Breakfast also very delicious and had a very tasty sri lankan items and homemade by family. Highly recommended!

    Nilnara Villa was absolutely stunning, spacious, clean and cozy place to stay a few or even more days! It is located a bit away from the (urban) noise with a nice beach (great pool!) but at the same time very close (by tuk tuk/motorbike) to the near villages/cities. The stuff was always there for us and helped in any ways (even took us to the airport) and even the chef cooked us wonderful meals. Our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! Thank you so much!
