We stayed here on our way to Ella whilst on a cycle tour. We had an exceptionally warm welcome and were given a fabulous meal in the evening - the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka (and there’s been plenty!). It’s a lovely peaceful spot and there was plenty of wildlife to see from the terrace.

A truely unforgettable experience with Dulara and the team at Ahaspokuna. It’s difficult to pinpoint one thing that stood out as everything was exceptional. An absolutely amazing place! A luxurious, beautifully designed house right in the middle of the jungle. The surroundings are stunning — lots of wildlife around, and monkeys often visit the terrace, which was such a unique experience. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you need. There’s a beautiful waterfall nearby where you can swim — highly recommended! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There’s a butler living in the apartment below the house who takes care of everything, and a cook who prepares delicious meals. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a high standard of comfort, this is the perfect place. Truly unforgettable!

Had a magical stay and everything I was looking for at Bambara Agro Resort and Eco lodge! If you’re looking to immerse yourself in nature and have an authentic experience, this is the place for you. The location is stunning, surrounded by lush green forest and mountains, on a little hill side with cultivated fields. Confortable tent with its own bathroom and shower (no hot water). The food and juice they serve you are fresh from the garden. The staff were super friendly, genuine and accommodating. Special mention to Shamila! I highly recommend to anyone who love nature or would like to try to reconnect with it!

A good location for a relaxing stay in Balangoda, Cottage Home Belihuloya is an apartment surrounded by views of the garden.

We stayed here for one night we enjoyed it so much we extended for another night. The host is a very sweet & warm person. He is an interesting man and keeps his home and the guest apartments very clean so much so I was impressed at how neat and well thought out the spaces were. They smelled very fresh as did the bed linens and towels 🙂 We stayed in the budget room equipped with two huge beds, fluffy pillows a fan, great shower with hot water & huge kitchen with a fridge. This was so needed and appreciated after spending the whole day exploring waterfalls and trekking through the stunning scenery that surrounds this homestay. The host has a beautiful garden with tropical flowers and spaces for guests to sit and enjoy the garden also you can enjoy the many authentic & delicious breakfast, lunches & dinners the host will provide at a very reasonable cost. He truly takes the hassle out of everything for you and will go miles out of his way for you. We felt very safe and extremely cared for here. There are gates with locks on for your scooter and your own private access to the building. This homestay is in one of the most beautiful and historical regions in Sri Lanka. Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the place. The view is fantastic, good coffee, room service, fun manager:)) just keep in mind it’s in the mountains so the weather can get chilly and rainy.
