Roshan, his family, and his staff provided an exceptional experience. They helped arrange transportation both to and from their resort. The food was exceptional and exceeded all expectations and included fresh salad with dinner as well as a protein option and local cuisine that was home cooked. The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The safari experience was great, and our driver made sure we saw as many animals as possible. We traveled with a little kid and we also appreciated that our daughter had his daughter to play with.

Fantastic place to stay for so many reasons. The hotel itself feels really like a safari camp with wild animals and birds all around, there are monkeys and squirrels in the gardens. Each room is very private down a small path from the main dining room. The rooms are absolutely huge and wonderfully decorated. They have a large comfortable more-than-double bed and are well equipped with a fridge, air-conditioning and ceiling fan, hot and cold shower, tea and coffee making facilities, towels and robe. The room had huge windows overlooking the forest and its own private terrace and plunge pool perfect for cooling off after a long day. We had a sri lankan style breakfast which was delicious and we ate 2 nights at the hotel. I would highly recommend the seafood bbq, so much yummy food! The hotel is situated perfectly for safari as it is right next to the entrance to the national park so only 2 minutes in the tuktuk to get to the entrance. They packed us breakfast, lunch and snacks. Priyashantha joined us for the day and was fantastic at taking us to the best places to spot the wildlife. He brought along binoculars and books to show us the birds and animals we had seen. The jeep itself has a roof to keep cool in the heat of the day on the full day safari. I would highly recommend the friendly and caring staff, the beautiful peaceful surroundings and the very comfortable rooms.

Could not recommend Thamaravila more! Everything was fantastic from the welcome to the safari and everything in between. The service was fantastic and all staff were extremely friendly. The traditional Sri Lankan food was delicious. Our safari experience was also amazing, seeing elephants, sloth bears and leopards all in one day! Thanks to Priya who was our very knowledgeable guide on the day. The rooms were very spacious and the location is so quiet and peaceful.

This is a lovely family business with the ever smiling, hard-working and charming Dylan at the forefront of providing all you need for a very comfortable stay. Beautiful views across the rice fields by day and, perhaps, the odd mischievous elephant at night. Absolute top marks for the whole family who are attentive to all your needs. The kitchen staff deliver delicious food across the day and the meals really are wonderfully presented. Could not ask for more, the whole arrangement, the family, and the staff are just full of genuine character. If you are coming for a National Park tour, then Dylan is superb at delivering a complete package to suit whatever your needs maybe. I must just add real extra praise for his hard-work, and non-stop consideration during our stay. He really is an outstanding host and business manager; you’ll struggle to meet better. Top-end rooms offer more space and comfort [there will be additional rooms soon] but all rooms come with the kind attention of your hosts. There are a couple of bikes for a pedal to the lakes, hike across the paddy fields, or take the dirt roads into a very rural surround. Lots of cute puppies on site, they do bark on the odd night but nothing too irritating. WiFi is patchy, but that should be expected out in wilds. Confucius says; the wise carry a big stick along roads filled with territorial dogs. Highly recommended!

This was the best one we stayed so far. Amazing room, beautiful location, the dinner setting was extraordinary just like a fairytale, the night walk was super interesting and the stuff really informative about the wildlife during the night hours, the safari next day was DREAMY. Our guide Tharaka was so passionate about his job and 5 hours passed so pleasantly talking with him and exploring the wildlife of wilpattu! I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone!

Such a nice place! Highly recommended if you want take a breake and forget about world for 1/2 nights. Ten was clean and cosy. We ate a delicious dinner in the middle of the forrest at night. Safari was very nice and what it the most important - not as commercial as others. The servise was very good! :)

I would highly recommend this place for both locals and foreigners alike. The caretaker is amazing, he came to the road on his scooter to show us the way. The owner is super responsive and flexible.
