Riva is like a home from home. We had the best time staying in this clean, comfortable and welcoming place. The location is wonderful and being right on the water was the best way to wake up every morning. Gabi was amazing!! He was always happy to help us with anything we needed and more. His breakfasts are delicious; the perfect way to start our day. I would 100% recommend staying here for your time in Bocas.

Oh my goodness, let me tell you about the most amazing hotel experience we ever had - it was like paradise on steroids! First of all, the location was killer. Right in front of the beach with waves crashing, it was so surreal and peaceful (no need for a white noise machine like I do in Brooklyn). I felt like a mermaid basking in the sun, with the ocean as my soundtrack, while the cutest baby sloths, colorful birds, and other amazing animals were doing their thing, adding to the beauty. It was like living in a Disney movie! But let me tell you, it was the hosts (Simon and Wendy) who really stole the show. These guys were the most adorable, hilarious and attentive people I've ever met. They had us in stitches every day, cracking jokes and making sure we were having the time of our lives. I felt like I was staying with family! The staff (that are like family to Wendy and Simon) was equally amazing - always friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. And let's not forget about the hotel's furry ambassadors, the cutest dogs ever: Jack and Lucky! They were so friendly, and I swear I sometimes spent more time petting them than sunbathing. Honestly, I never wanted to leave this place. I could have stayed forever, sipping on spicy Margaritas, doing my morning meditation on the beach and listening to the waves. If you're looking for a fun and unforgettable getaway, I highly recommend this hotel. You won't regret it! Oh and the restaurant of the hotel is the best too, will need another review on that.

Period stilted property in calm Saigon Bay, local neighbourhood. Super comfy bed and excellent sleep. Free bikes and kayak. Nicolas and his wife Ange were great hosts and provided lovely breakfast on outside decking. Beautiful spot for sunset. Warm and friendly with excellent library and board games. Together with my 13-year-old daughter I had the pleasure to spend one week in the Pirate Arts Resort on Carenero Island. At first, I was hesitant to fly all the way from Germany to Panama but luckily my daughter insisted. And it was so worth it. Before we even sat foot on the island, we were very well taken care of. Weeks in advance, the managing director sent us a welcome letter which included how to get there, a very nice selection of trips and excursions to do, where to eat, etc. It also included some very practical tips in terms of which insect-repellent to buy and to stop at the local supermarket to buy the snacks you will be craving after dinner. When we finally sat foot on the island it felt like stepping into another world. There was the main house with the restaurant (it was closed when we visited but will be reopened in December and the whole operations will be run by a German chef – funny coincidence) and then there were a couple of separate 2-story houses with apartments in a tropical garden. Oh, that garden. So well maintained and so beautiful. Our apartment had a huge veranda with a table for four, a hammock, some lounge chairs (this is where I enjoyed my morning coffee) and 2 deck-chairs. Ah, and there was a star-fruit tree right in front of our house and we took full advantage of it 😊 On the veranda was a huge ventilator to keep the mosquitos away. Inside the apartment we had a big room with a fully furnished kitchen and living room with lots of books and board games. Our suite had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. All the rooms have air-conditioning and ventilators. I also loved the fact that there were flower arrangements on every table and a fruit basket in the kitchen. Yummy. Behind the house was a washing-machine and a dryer – all very convenient. The people working there were very friendly – it felt more like a community. For us it was a great and relaxing experience in the Pirate Arts resort. I was able to fully disconnect in what felt

1. Location: This place is paradise. The views from the terrace are incredible. They have a beautiful garden which is very much jungle. It comes with lots of pretty birds, monkeys, sloths, fruits and flowers. It's also very quiet (besides the sound of nature). 2. Food: There's nothing about the food that could be improved. Breakfast was incredible, with lots of fruit, and so was every other meal I had. Judith really places a lot of importance on the quality of the ingredients. Considering the quality it comes at a very good price. Great juices and I in particular loved the homemade hot chocolate. 3. Hosts: Judith and Fabrice are so nice and friendly. And really went out of their way to make sure that I had a great time there. For example when I mentioned to Judith how much I loved her chocolate she made sure there was some for every meal. 4. Comfort: It really is hotel standard which I found astonishing given that they are in the jungle. Hot water, very clean room and bathroom, great bed. And it was all done by someone with really good taste. Each room also has a lovely terrace with comfortable chairs and hammock and great view.
