If you're in Kras — and you definitely should be if you're a fan of wine and ancient cities — stay at Vina Kobal and book a tasting. There are two apartments here — brand new, spotless, with everything you need inside. And a bottle of Teran in the fridge. With a terrace offering a beautiful view. And after the tasting, you won't need to go anywhere :) Even without the tasting, you can hang out there for a couple of days - walking in Stagnel and through the vineyards. And the sea is a 40-minute drive away. But who needs the sea when wine flows like a river? A few words about the tasting. Eight wines and a huge plate of delicious homemade appetizers for 30 euros. You might say that can't be true, the wines must be rubbish. But it is true! And every wine is wonderful, so full of flavor and life! Ivo, thank you for your high level of hospitality! Tina, thank you for the tasting, you made us happy!

An exceptional and very peaceful location on the edge of the village, perfect for a complete getaway from the hectic world. My wife and I had a very restful time, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings filled with greenery, and were thoroughly impressed with the lovely bedroom with a bathroom and the central living room, arranged with attention to detail. We highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates tranquility!

Tina and Laura made us feel so welcomed! We had a spacious and clean apartment. We can't thank Laura enough for the wonderful wine tasting and all the things she shared about wine making, Slovenian traditions and the family estate. We learned so much and had a wonderful time with you! Sadly we couldn't stay longer than just one night. Rouna is such a beautiful estate with very generous and sweet hosts - and delicious wine!     We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Garden Villa. The villa is just perfect, with every detail thoughtfully considered, as well as the entire house was immaculately clean. Our favourite part was the kitchen with the dining area but the beds were also incredibly confortable. Every person had their own space to retreat to in peace. The warm welcome we received was exeptional. We would return here anytime.

    Everything was perfect. Small village with historical old town so You can walk around and enjoy scenery. Nice and clean air, great views iof surrounding mountains. Host was very nice and polite, and willing to help. Anything below 10 will be unfair to warm Wellcome we received.

    Villa is even bigger than it seems in the photos. Clean, practical and modern (free parking). Hosts are very nice and friendly, they try to accommodate all of your needs (taxi arrangement etc.). Highly recommend. Beautiful Castle Štanjel (cosy restaurant and unique Ferrari garden) is 10-minute walking distance away, must visit. A lot of good Slovenian winemakers are nearby.

    Blackbird House was a wonderful find. I’m so glad we stayed there, it is certainly unique. Absolutely everything has been thought of & you are in the middle of a medieval village! We had a wonderful experience & I highly recommend. Mitja was great to deal with & so helpful.
