The owners and staff were very nice and helpful, always looking to please.. bungalow had a lovely view of the sea. Food was lovely and very quick to your table. Also great value for money. A true hidden treasure.

Another great commodity is the travel agents desk, day trips, activities, and transfers can be booked on site making your stay a complete no brainer. And last but not the least the restaurant, great food served from dawn to dusk, fresh seafood, great breakfasts, and an excellent selection of beverages. Great discovery on a beautiful island! This is my second visit and truly, there will be a third. This beach on the island is so nice. Tranquility at its best but with the convenience of choice close by. The food at Barefoot is SO good. Sam and Toi and the offical boss, Suzy the dog are brilliant. So kind and helpful and even gifted me some precious Yorkshire Tea which belonged to them for my morning tea. A gift that only a true English soul could understand the importance of. The room is lovely. We didn’t have air conditioning and we didn’t need it at all. In fact, it was bliss not having it. The beach is clean and the sea is warm. The shower comes with shower gel, shampoo AND conditioner which is really rare and very much appreciated. My only regret is not booking a longer stay… which happened last time so I should have known better!

Owner extremely helpful, offering high-quality Scoopy motorbike rental with pickup at the pier. Best price for aircon on the island by far. Location nicely quiet and near a beautiful temple and sunrise views right around the corner (no particular view from the smaller rooms). Aircon and shower water very strong. Would recommend this spot as a great base for exploring the island.

I really loved my stay here, it's a quiet place in the center of Ko Phayam, surrounded by the forest. The family who run the bungalows were very kind and they're always available should you need anything. The bungalow was simple and just perfect for relaxing. The bed was super spacious for one person. My favorite detail was the hammock on the terrace. There were bug screens on all doors and windows and an extra mosquito net around the bed, which I really appreciated. I was comfortable in the room with the fan for a breeze, didn't even need the fan during the night. The family also runs a restaurant just in front of the bungalows, the food was good (I especially liked the Burmese tea leaf salad), the prices were very affordable, and they have plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. Wifi is available at the restaurant. You can also rent a scooter directly from them. I thought that location was perfect, there're plenty of other restaurants in the immediate vicinity if you're staying for a while (there's a place that does mango sticky rice with vegan ice cream right across the road that I still daydream about). There are a couple of small shops a couple of minutes on foot from the bungalows. Ko Phayam is fully walkable, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the bungalow from the port and maybe 10 minutes to the beach. Can't wait to be back.
