Great hostel with a great location, just a bit off the big streets. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing, very kind, helpful and accommodating to any request you may have. Price is also very reasonable. They can organize treks for you as well:) Would highly recommend to any backpacker going through Sapa.

We came to Surelee only for a night when the weather was absolutely horrible. We couldn’t do any treks which we came for, but the homestay made the trip worth it. The beds were nice and comfortable, and I genuinely felt super at home. I got to know the kids (albeit the language barrier) and the food was really yummy (especially the hot chocolates)

The owner and his family was so helpful and pleasant.The room was great,clean with nice view and with a very good price. It is just 30 minutes away from Sapa Town and we paid the owner and came to take us. Our experience at Hmong Sister House was a delightful blend of culinary exploration and social connection. The Buffalo trek allowed us to immerse ourselves in Hmong culture, but it was the authentic local dishes that truly captivated our taste buds. From the aromatic pho to the crispy spring rolls, each dish was a testament to Vietnam's culinary heritage. Gathering around the communal table, we realized that food was not only a source of nourishment but also a bridge to forging new friendships. The house is a little far from the center of Sapa but easy to travel to the town. This minor inconvenience was overshadowed by the connections and cherished moments we formed at the homestay. The water pressure fluctuations were like gentle reminders of the natural flow of experiences, adding a unique rhythm to our stay.

Our Sapa getaway with family at Zizi homestay was an epic reunion. The Buffalo trek and home trek brought us closer, quite literally, as we navigated the rugged terrain and marveled at the breathtaking vistas. The Buffalo trek was an adrenaline rush, with each step drawing us into the heart of nature's magnificence. The home trek, in contrast, slowed our pace and allowed us to soak in the serenity of rural life. Our homestay was a haven of warmth amidst this natural splendor. Our hosts, with their genuine smiles and open hearts, welcomed us into their world. They didn't just serve us meals; they served us stories, insights into Hmong traditions, and a sense of belonging. Evenings were a celebration of culture, with traditional dances and songs that resonated deep within our souls. If we were to pinpoint a slight drawback, it would be that the homestay is a bit far from the center of Sapa. However, this minor inconvenience was outweighed by the unique experiences it offered.

The bungalows are great and spacious! From far they look like tree houses. Very nice location outside the Sapa center, but only 2 km away. The host was great, helping us with every detail. We also had dinner there which was amazing. Our best stay in Vietnam! It is a pity we stayed only 1 night!

Mao and all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible experience! The room and view was outstanding. A nice perk was that breakfast was included (I got fruit and french toast one day & a banana crepe the next). We ate dinner there and it was one of the best meals I’ve had (tofu and rice). The location is out of the way of Sa Pa town but it was nice because it was quiet & had a great view! The bed was HUGE- check out the attached photo- my husband is 6’1” for reference.

We loved our stay at this place! The family that works there is so so so kind and helpful with everything. I was truly sad to be leaving. We got a free upgrade to a gorgeous bungalow outlooking the rice paddies where waterbuffalos would walk by everyday. It was a dream staying here! Can't wait to come back in the future.

The best homestay in Sa Pa, I only have words of gratitude for Mo and his family, I felt really pampered even with room service for breakfast with exquisite pancakes, vietnamese coffee and omelettes. The room was simply beautiful, good wifi, and comfortable, with a nice terrace overlooking the rice field. The architecture is truly unique in the area, the food Mo makes is delicious, and you can dine with his family every night if you wish, with a variety of typical Hmong cuisine and homemade rice wine. It is really worth staying here, check the weather carefully so that you have sunny days, bring cash, your google translator ready, and if you can rent a motorcycle in Sa Pa, much better.
