This place was a great find in the middle of a very interesting little town full of culture. Also for some reason this town is not affected by the power cuts so 24 hours of electricity. I highly recommend.

Nastanitev CASA ANABELA HOTEL BOUTIQUE s klimatsko napravo je v mestu Quito, 3 min hoje od znamenitosti Gledališče Sucre in 1,1 km od središča, ter nudi brezplačen WiFi in teraso. The hotel is in a great location close to plaza Independencia and the Basilica and churches as well as restaurants. The rooms are simply decorated, which we like, and are spacious and well equipped. We found the beds very comfortable and they readily supplied us with extra blankets and a heater since we were there during a Rainy cold spell. It has a lovely courtyard, a library of Spanish books which I appreciated to help practice reading Spanish and an inside balcony to sit in the sun. But the best part are the proprietors and helper. Maria who manages the place is a gem! She was warm and helpful and even invited us to join her and her husband and son to participate in the Dia del Muertos festivities, which was fascinating. Lenny, her husband, explained what was going on to us in English. It was authentic and kind to include us as friends. Lenny also was our driver and guide to Cotopaxi and another day when we went to Mindo. Their helper, Matty, was lovely too - Just so joyful! - and she helped me with my Spanish. We stayed there a total of 5 days. Two nights before the Galapagos and three nights after. We felt like we made new friends and were sad to leave them!

Victor and his family were so kind and welcoming. I arrived to a lovely fire and within a few minutes of arriving had a meal ready for me. Breakfast was a huge meal and prices for the lunch is really good. It was such a nice place with beautiful view, so quiet and peaceful and right next to the start of the quilotoa loop trek.

Delicious food.

Very beautiful. Lovely beds. Super clean with truly hot showers. The kitchen is great. Super close to the center of town. The private rooms are really amazing.

The subway station was only about a 3-minute walk away, which was very convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was surprised that there was no water in the fridge, but there was a water dispenser in the hallway that we could use. I had to leave early for the airport, and the receptionist kindly booked a taxi for me. It cost around 11 USD and was very helpful.
