Situated within 36 km of Mount Lamongan and 45 km of Mount Bromo, Brak Homestay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sukobumi. He told us of all the options to visit Mount Bromo (one could book the tour directly via the owner) and we ended up staying at Brak for 2 nights and doing the Mt Bromo trip directly from Probolinggo. We pre-ordered a Gojek (like Grab) at 2 am for 250k, the driver drove us to Cemorolawang, we did the hike and everything, had breakfast in Cemorolawang, then came back to Probolinggo. We can back with the same driver, but one can easily also use the shared minivans, it is easy to get from Cemorolawang to Probolinggo during the day. When we came back, the owner greeted us with tea and we had a good rest. Doing Mt. Bromo from Probolinggo is easy and less tiresome, we’re happy we chose this way! I can only recommend this guesthouse, this was Indonesian hospitality at its best that we experienced.
