Doris and Kevin were the perfect hosts, beautiful home and the breakfast was fabulous, great nights sleep. Rooms bigger than you would expect and to be woken by birdsong was an added extra. The local pubs were about a mile or so down the road with a harbour if you fancy a walk.Athlone town only 10 minutes away if you fancy a more lively night out taxis available. All in all a great find and most definitely would recommend and hope to revisit in the near future.

The unit is soundproofed and is comprised of a parquet floors as well as a fireplace. The property has an outdoor dining area. The house is amazing. Probably best one we have rented out of 40 houses over the last 20 years in various countries. Well equipped. Hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful. The local village is fine and has everything you need. No reason to leave the house though. We were three generations staying in the house and everyone was happy (amazing!).

We had a wonderful time, especially enjoying the BBQ on the veranda and the stunning view of the lake, which is also very close by. Great location nice and peaceful my grandson loved thst he could fish right outside the front of the house and we enjoyed sitting there looking at the water and the ducks. Every day weather was beautiful when we stayed
