Margaret is a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming. The whole B&B was immaculate and a home away from home. On our return to the room from a wedding near by (on a cold February night) Margaret had added a much appreciated touch, an electric blanket being turned on. A delicious continental breakfast awaited us the next morning with a vast array of fresh fruit, breads and cereals.

It’s so peaceful and calming, right on the lake. Micheal the owner checked on us now and then as we were 5 females aged 16-65 on our own we really appreciated that !Lovely kind man! It was large, clean and really well equiped. We were met by Hazel , she was so sweet and had the cottage heated and welcoming, even a nice welcome cake.

Our stay at Shannonside exceeded our expectations! David ensured we had everything we needed and was a fantastic host. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable and spacious. April 2024. Beautiful location. Exceptionally clean. Stylish conversion. Every comfort provided - well equipped kitchen, comfortable seating and beds, central heating plus solid fuel burners. Information provided on how everything worked. One small issue arose which was dealt with by the owner immediately. Lots of parking. Stayed in many UK and Eire self catering properties over the years. Definitely in top three.
