The hosts Angela and Pramesh are very hospitable and sincere people. This made our stay in Darjeeling even more enjoyable and we plan to visit again. Pramesh even chased down a taxi for us at the last minute so we could go to Sikkim. Our room had a view of Darjeeling and was really cosy and was within a short distance to the centre. It was also quiet at night and good value for money. I have been to India five times and stayed at all sorts of accomodation and Dik's Place is up at the top of the list.

The room was a breath of fresh air (literally) in the chaotic and polluted city! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room also had lots of modern amenities like an air purifier, streaming platform etc. I highly recommend this hotel. The location is also very central.

This recently renovated apartment is located 12 km from Howrah Railway Station and 12 km from Esplanade Metro Station. The property is non-smoking and is located 12 km from Sealdah Railway Station. Dey Niwas is unbeatable value for the price you pay. It's also very homely and perfect for relaxing. The apartment has more than enough to allow you to be self-sufficient. This includes a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, hot pan and cutlery. There's a separate dining room, kitchen and toilet/shower. Lots of room and lots of rooms! The bedroom has a big comfortable double bed with a writing desk and a sofa. The A/C works well. I particularly liked the blackout in the night. Wooden shutters with curtains keep it dark in the morning and the small side road is very quiet, all of which allowed me to sleep peacefully. What's noticeable is how clean the entire apartment is. Everything also functions (e.g. no dripping taps) and looks new. I appreciated the large amount of sockets in all rooms, the water purifier and plenty of liquid soap, shower gel and toilet paper. All these amenities made it seem like I was staying in someone's well-kept home. The apartment is a few minutes’ walk away from many small shops, groceries and a street market selling fruit and vegetables. It's also ideally located to get to the airport quickly.  The owner, Kajal, was very helpful, making sure I found the location and booking tempos and taxis for me, even coming out to check my transport had arrived. I think Dey Niwas is an amazing place to stay and the owner's kindness helped make my travels a success. I highly recommend it.
