The hotel itself is very beautiful with so many lounge rooms, even with a yoga room. The guy that works at the reception, whose name is Jerad, is incredible. He did his best to make our stay so good. He treated us as if we were his beloved relatives. It was unbelievable. So sweet, and so pleasant. Jerad, thanks a million, because of you we had the best experience in Nuwara Elliya. The service is 5-star. Indeed. Our room was spacious, clean, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was cosy and beautiful too. I highly recommend Suriya Guest.

Host was waiting for us in the rain at 10 PM, super easy to reach on WhatsApp, amazing breakfast in the morning. Upgraded our stay to a nicer room for no extra charge because it was empty! It was our best stay in Sri Lanka. Connected us with a Tuktuk driver (Chandi) for the morning who gave us a tour around which was perfect - went to two tea plantations, two waterfalls, and so many view points. He also called a friend at the train station to verify our train time and ordered take out for us to pick up and take on the train.

Watching the landscape change with the light was magical. The cabin itself is a dream—spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and instantly inviting. You arrive, take a deep breath, and feel at home. Everything is well-maintained, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail. What really stood out was the hospitality. Not only were we looked after with great care, but even our guide/driver was well accommodated. The owner was always there with a smile, ready to help, even suggesting a beautiful hiking route and making sure we were set up for a great walk. A personal highlight: my partner’s birthday fell during our stay, and to our surprise, she was gifted a beautiful birthday cake—a gesture that truly made the day extra special. We also dined at the cabin, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his wife clearly have a passion for good food, and it was a pleasure to taste it. Communication was seamless from the start, with quick and easy WhatsApp contact, making everything effortless. Cabin 7000ft is more than just a stay—it’s a special place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. Highly, highly recommended!

The owner was really helpful and kind, he helped me.organise few trips and recommended a reliable ruk tuk driver and offered advice on things to/see and how to do it. I cannot recommend it enough!

The attentive service and all-round comfort that the Edgware offers were a great way to cap off my wonderful time in Sri Lanka. All the staff, including Lukshan and Ishan were very welcoming, and did their best to make me feel at home throughout my stay. It was nice to have some good conversations with them. I had the opportunity to get an upgrade to a beautifully appointed and spacious room equipped with a high-roofed loft space, which gave off ski chalet vibes. While it was cold and damp for much of my time in Nuwara Eliya, inside it always felt warm and cosy, with nice touches like a virtual fireplace and a heater in my room. They also serve delicious food, including a superb Sri Lankan breakfast and a wide variety of dishes to choose from on their dinner menu, and offered complimentary tea/coffee and cake upon my arrival and when i got back after a morning out. Also they packed a nice breakfast for me for me to collect early in the morning when i headed out to Horton Plains.
