The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

It is based in a local area, a lot more calm than busy Thamel and gives you more insight into how local people in Kathmandu live. You can walk into Thamel or can get a taxi/bike easily with the inDrive app. The rooms are comfortable, there is very good wifi and there is an incredible view from the rooftop. Nir and his family will really look after you, but at the same time give you as much space as you need to do your own thing. They will make it feel like your home where you can relax and whatever you do, try their meals in their kitchen…..you will not regret it! I thoroughly recommend a stay at peace homestay.

While my driver was running late with an unexpected stop, they waited for me on the street to guide me to the apartment. They were always accessible for any questions during our stay and provided suggestions when I asked for them. The flat is centrally located between two areas of interest, Thamel and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Very easy to walk to both. The home is very clean, has windows in every room, and is in a modern building surrounded by older traditional brick buildings in an active area full of locals.

The view of Durbar Square from the terrace is beautiful. There is water available in the corridors to refill bottles, and the beds are comfortable. The place might seem a bit intimidating at first, as it's on the second floor of a bar, but the stay is worth it. I also recommend staying overnight in Bhaktapur rather than just doing a day trip.
