We spent two nights in Nizwa: one at the Omani Guest House and one at another traditional inn - and we much preferred the Omani Guest House. The main reason was Ali, the owner, and all the amazing staff. They were very welcoming and friendly, which made our stay really enjoyable. The location of the guesthouse is perfect, right by Nizwa Souq, so everything from cafes to restaurants is just a short walk away. The rooms have a lovely traditional decor, and our room was very comfortable and quiet. We would definitely return.

Take the small winding streets to the city, you will see a lot and will arrive on the main street in 10 walking minutes. The room was new and giant. Overall an amazing stay and we could've stayed longer.

Ali and his family who live next door made us feel so very welcome and at home! The house is BIG and for just us 2 it was a little excessive haha but we had our own bedroom so that was nice. The views are beautiful. The house is comfortable. Very nice outdoor seating area in the shade. We had dinner at Ali his house and it was very good. I would recommend!
