A recently renovated guest house in Entebbe, Alison & Dave's Guesthouse offers sun terrace, private parking and sports facilities. With lake views, this accommodation features a patio. The guest house provides garden views, an outdoor fireplace and a 24-hour front desk. The guesthouse is tucked away on a side street in a quiet neighborhood of Entebbe. Although we weren't sure how to check in, when we banged on the gate the caretaker Jeffrey soon came to let us in. A long driveway leads up to the home, nicely maintained in the midst of beautiful gardens. The room was as expected - small but functional, with screens, mosquito netting, warm showers and a fan. The area is quiet, but it's easy to reach the shops at Kampala road by boda boda. It's also a very short boda ride (or a 15 minute walk) to the harbor where the Shoebill tours leave from. Jeffrey was super friendly and helpful, and kindly prepared an early (delicious!) breakfast for us so we could make our sunrise Shoebill tour. The staff also let us check out later and hang around for a few more hours while waiting to go to the airport. We felt at home and well taken care of!
