The profits from the lodge go back to the island communities, so we paid dinner with pleasure.

Such a lovely guest house very clean the bed was very comfortable and the views from outside your room are outstanding. Cylia the owner is an incredible lady so kind and very helpful and was always on hand to assist you. She was able to get me a gorilla permit and a chimpanzee permit which I was most grateful for.

Could have spend all day just sitting there and enjoy the beauty of it all. Pure joy.

A good location for a relaxing stay in Kabale, Amasiko Homestay Lake Bunyonyi is a guest house surrounded by views of the lake. The guest house provides garden views, an outdoor fireplace and a 24-hour front desk. It was stunning. We’re so happy we got the room with the balcony because it had such a beautiful view and we really enjoyed staying out there. Everyone there was lovely and helpful- when we got a flat tire, they found someone (affordable) to quickly fix it for us. And the food is incredible! We are vegetarians and we had lunch and dinner (and breakfast the following morning) and it was delicious and so memorable. Make sure to bring a flashlight, it’s dark at night! And you need to be able to walk up and down lots of steps.

Hard to find because Google Maps and OpenStreetMap have non-existing roads in Kabale. From the main road, first go to "Makanga Golf Course Polling Post", and from there continue to the hotel.
