This beautiful and very old building is a wonderful place to stay. The town of Mariastein consists basically of an Abbey with a residence, a couple of hotels and restaurants, a farm and a gift shop. It is very peaceful. Our hotel room was spacious with a large bright window and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with enough food choices to please everyone including vegans and those who eat gluten free. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

The apartment is directly at a small forest, with very nice hiking routes. It is excellently equipped. The furniture is hand crafted with quality wood, the mattress, bed covers, pillows, shower gel etc. are all of highest quality.
