Extremely charming when the owner is on-site hosting you. Worth the drive out of Leticia to start or extend your Amazon experience. The bubble tents are cool and completely sealed and bug-free. It’s a relatively new business so it’s not perfect but it is authentic, nestled in the jungle, and run by kind people from the area. Very helpful in the planning of transfers and tours.

HIGH RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!! I loved everything set about Nomada Hostel, from the staff to the set up of the hostel. Absolutely everything. We wanted to have some time off from the world, in nature, and that’s what we got. The little houses are divided in two (at least most of those I noticed) and provide a wonderful seclusion from the road noise. The hotel is some 15-20 minutes from the airport. The host, Alex, is one of the warmest and most hospitable property owners I’ve dealt with. My husband and I both understand Spanish but speak a little and Alex and his wife Liliana did everything to understand us and meet our needs. The food was exceptionally tasty. There were different types of beer. The room was clean. We had the necessary amenities. The only catch was that we didn’t know that in this part of Colombia, there’s no hot water from the shower, but that was fine as the lukewarm-coldish was endurable and fine. I want to thank Alex and his team for wonderful welcome, assistance in booking trips that were perfect for us and for a little excursion he organised for us to go to Brazil as there was a local festival going on.

The location in a private reserve was great. Was very peaceful and very relaxing to fall asleep to the sounds of the reserve. Very easy to get to from town. The km11 bus stops right in front of the hostel. Buses go past every 20-30mins. Hosts were very welcoming and assisted with organising a night tour last minute. Also offered a bike for use to explore the area.
