Marie was very welcoming. The room was great and very modern. The location is good and we saw scarlet macaws in the trees on the property. The breakfast was all home made and of a high standard. The pool was warm maybe a bit small but still lovely.

The room was basically a small private bungalow with a unique feature: an outside toilet and bathroom in that it was part of the small outside garden but sealed off from view. I thought this was amusing though I can imagine some might find it bizarre. Another interesting feature were the birds visible when eating breakfast. I don't believe in feeding the wildlife but it was a pleasure to see so many birds including a few Aras (red parrots). We saw more there than in any of the parks. Breakfast was good and the pizza was good too...made by an Italian so it had to be. Great stopover place when travelling from the north pacific coast to the south atlantic coast.

Oh we loved this hotel. The view of the estuary was glorious and we had a delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast. It is slightly dated but that only adds to its charm.

Lovely furnished and very clean apartment! Tarqoles ist nothing special but we had a really nice crocodile boat tour, which we can recommend.

A perfect place to stay, close to the ferry, because Puntarenas is a ugly city. The place is more beautiful than described and pics can show. The hosts serve a generous and delicious breakfast. The apartment is equipped with everything, there is nothing else you could wish for. Just a 100% recomended. Thank you to the beautiful family our hosts for having us stay with you. Our stay at Casa victoria has been truly amazing. The hosts, Yazmin and Mario, are naturally hospitable and accommodating. You can feel that they genuinely just love what they do and so they offer exceptional service without even trying. The accommodation is clean and tidy, with little details thought of to make your stay easy and comfortable. We didn’t need to ask anything of them as everything was already taken care of. Asking them what we could do in the area, they offered more possibilities than we had the time or money for. We opted for the abandoned goldmine trip, and spent the day with them both. It didn’t feel like we were with hosts as they were so genuine and friendly it really felt like we were just spending a day out with our friends. We really had the best time, and if we ever visit Costa Rica again, we will absolutely stay with Yazmin and Mario again.
