This place is just wow! It will take your breath away. It has been our favourite place on our trip to Costa Rica. If you like adventurous stuff and places totally in nature you won't be disappointed. The perfect place to stay! Definitely deserving of all the amazing reviews they’ve received. Our private room was very nice and comfortable, the fans were perfect (AC wasn’t needed), and the shower had warm water. The hostel decor is amazing, and it has nice areas to sit in the courtyard. The kitchen was very large and organised, and had everything we needed to cook. Also this was the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in, they was always a cleaner around cleaning some part of the hostel. Location was also perfect, short walk to everything but also in a quiet spot. Staff were all very friendly. 100% recommend staying here

We stayed at Smile Jungle Hostel for 3 nights and it was great! A very warm and personal welcome, everything was explained very well. The host Gonzalo and his mother are doing a great job, you would not think they only have started 1 month ago! The hostel is very cosy. Good showers and kitchen. If we needed anything, we could just ask or send a WhatsApp. The breakfast is the best we had so far in de past month. You can see and hear a lot of animals around the hostel. Thank you so much for the great stay! Would recommand it to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay in Mecca. The accomodation is in a quiet area of Puerto Viejo but easy to acces by taxi or bike. The place is clean and equipped with everything you need. Kim is a really kind host, she will inform you of all the things to do in the area. We had a great time and miss the two cute dogs already.

Everything! The interior design, the friendliness of our host couple, Luna the dog, the calmness of the place (it’s a little bit far of the center but you can have bikes for rent which is pretty easy and the fact you’re being a little bit out of town makes everything so peaceful : city noises are replaced by the nature ones.
