I hitchhiked to the Chirripo trailhead and back with ease. There are supermarkets at walking distance. The place is beautiful, quiet, right next to a river. Rooms were great temperature. Parking your car here while you are on the hike is allowed at no extra charge which is definitely a plus. It was possible to adjust the time of breakfast so that we could make an early start. The rooms are simple, but good size and the beds are comfortable.
