Beautiful rooftop terrace with an amazing view. There's water, coffee and tea in the room. The friendly staff that gives good advice regarding hikes and transport. The possibility to have a healthy and filling dinner at the guesthouse after a long day of hiking. Very comfortable beds.

Wow! We didn't expect how lovely this place is designed. The pictures don't match the real world experience. It easily outperforms most 4 star hotels in Europe - super modern and well thought of. In addition the host is most caring and welcoming. Also it is perfect to do the most stunning hike on Santo Antao, from Cova to Pombas. Just book it, you certainly won't be disappointed. Many thanks to the host!

We really liked the hospitality and the care that Katelijne has for her guests. The host helped us organise the various trekkings that we did, and told us which were the best ones for our level. The food was very good, breakfast is very generous and you also have the possibility to have lunch at the table or as a picnic (usefull if you are planning a long walk). Dinners are all together and the food is high quality. If you want to feel at home this is the right place for you. The new added pool is just what you need after a tiring day, and the view will just blow your minds. To get to the hotel there is a bit of a walk, but there will be people helping you out with your luggage, and the beautiful view and great hospitality are absolutely worth it. The island is gorgeous and the stay at Casa Das Ilhas is a must!

The staff was really nice and Judith helped out in organising a taxi from Porto Novo to the hotel, including an amazing tour through the island. Also we had a great time with Ivone who prepared very nice vegan breakfast. The hotel has a great terrace with a stunning view and the location is very nice.

Our stay here was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Any question was answered and help was offered at all times. The room was clean and tidy, beautiful in design and comfort. The pool and outdoor area was very tranquil and well looked after. What a fabulous stay, we would definitely return.

Exceptionally welcoming hosts. The room was very clean and had an amazing view. Breakfast and dinner were home cooked and provided a good choice and quality of food. The hotel is a short walk from the natural bathing pools and there is easy access to transport to other locations.

Clean and really nice facilities. Great views, a community swimming pool around the corner. Local business ran by a very sweet family. They also have a restaurant with the best chef and food we’ve met in the island! You can walk to many beautiful places from here, ask the staff for suggestions.

Amazing views! The location: great start for the best hikes around the island. The owner Katelijne is a great source of information. The food was great and we liked that we all ate together at one big table so we got to know one another. There is a fridge with drinks and snacks at a very affordable price. WiFi was good too. The mattress and cushions are really comfortable.
