This one is a true gem. I have no idea if I'll ever return to Cuenca, but if I do, I'll look no further than this place. A bit difficult to find even if it can't be located more conveniently than it is. There is absolutely no sign in the street to indicate that there might be a hotel at this location. Which, by the way, is called "Balcon del Arte". And NOT "Hotel en el Centro Historico". Anyway, you'll need to look for a relatively deep hallway, enter it from the street and at the end of it ring a bell. Once you enter, you'll see a wonderfully furnished establishment. Rooms are every bit as good, clean, hot water reliable and wifi steady. No English is spoken, but Google Translate makes things smooth. The staff are very nice and helpful so eventually everything is sorted out easily.

Booked very last minute but the host was so helpful and accommodating. it's located in a nice neighborhood and the building is very modern with secure parking for our motorcycle. This is behind a high gate and electric fence. The apartment is very clean and spacious. The shower is lovely and hot and high pressure, one of the best we've had in Ecuador. It was only an overnight stop for us but it was very restful. Only feedback would be the checkout time is early at 10am. Most our at least 11am. Also it's needs some thicker curtains in the bedrooms as the street lights remain on all night.

Absolute superb service. Had problems on the road with our car, arrived with a 5 hrs delay after 1am. Despite this, the owner was extremely helpful and kind, was very responsive and flexible. Went beyond normal by organizing a mechanic to come to the apartment and repair our car right in the morning. Can only recommend, super nice people , clean , spacy apartment, silent , safe neighbourhood at a super price.

Suite Le Fabrique far exceeded our expectations. From the owners reaching out the morning of our stay to him waiting with us while waiting for our driver, there was no stone unturned. The property is a gem in the middle of historic Cuenca. We have lived in Cuenca for five years, and though the Hostel opened in 2021, we have passed it on foot and on the tram too many times to count. We will pass it no more. It will be our go to property when we need a few days, or even a few weeks of temporary accommodations. This is where we will send friends and visitors from out of town to stay. Also, the only time that I have as much value for money, in a hotel, is when someone else was paying for first class digs. Contact Franco for your hotel needs in Cuenca. You will be glad that you did. Oh, and the daily, included breakfast is fantastic.

Lovely old building, beautifully restored and decorated and comfortably furnished. Very convenient location, walking distance of everything, including the tram stop to the bus station and airport. Spacious bedroom, fabulously quiet, comfy bed, extensive buffet breakfast. Shared balcony with sofas and chairs to relax in the open air if, like us, you prefer to be outside in the daylight. Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. We were able to leave our bags after checking out and after a day exploring Cuenca relaxed in the hotel lounge for a couple of hours before our evening flight to Quito - so much nicer than waiting at the airport! This hotel is the best we’ve stayed at in our four weeks in Ecuador and perfect for a two or three night stay.

    The hotel was great! Good location, very clean, comfy pillows, good water pressure in the shower. It was very quiet overnight. It feels very safe. We did not eat here but saw people doing so and the food looked very good. One thing to note: if you have an early morning check out to catch a flight, unfortunately you will have to wake the concierge - they sleep on-site, all of the lights in the building will be out, and all of the front doors are locked up tight. Not a bad thing, just something to be aware of beforehand.

    The room I was given was beautiful, vintage and absolutely spotless, the bed was comfortable and the hosts were super lovely and helpful; I had a bus at 6am and they called a taxi for me! The hotel is also located in the perfect location, very close to everything.

    Everything about this property was perfect! The hosts: responsive to messages and friendly. The property: looks exactly as shown in the photos, spotless, modern, has everything you may need, hot water in the shower, good water pressure, nice large towels, a balcony, super comfortable bed, warm and cosy bedding, ideal location as it is close to everything and it's very easy to catch a taxi right outside.

    Super nice and helpful hosts, always there if needed, a brand new flat, very clean, perfect location, yummy breakfast, balcony and a cosy garden, good security, central location, what else can one hope for?
