Castell de Vallagornera is nothing short of heaven. The location, the building, the land and the history make it such a pleasant place to find an escape. The location forces you to relax with a soft hand - so needed after a busy year. Frans and his team ensured we were comfortable, welcomed and looked after our entire time there. This new hotel is underrated - 3 stars is too little. I expect now is your chance to see this place before it receives its 4th if not 5th star. I would recommend everyone stays with them sooner than later before they’re fully booked for the foreseeable future.

Our stay at this boutique hotel was truly exceptional – the staff were professional, attentive, and always welcoming. The room was very comfortable with perfect air conditioning. Breakfasts were delicious, varied, and beautifully prepared. The charming garden, full of greenery and shade, was the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or relax in the evening.     The little apartment is beautiful. The location is a bit far from shops and supermarkets (car needed!) but it’s definitely worth it as the area is peaceful and lovely, the sorroundings are so quiet. Perfect for a city break. The hosts are lovely, they live upstairs. We had the pool for ourselves almost all the time. It is well located, Cadaqués and Roses are just 20-25 minutes away. Also the beach is 15 minutes away by car. Very recommended! We will definitely come back next summer!

    Well designed modern property in the midst of olive trees. Very calm and restful. We were upgraded to a suite which was large with a jacuzzi (5 nights stay). Convenient location to explore the area of Cadaqués, Figueres, Roses and golf at Peralada. Staff was excellent especially Claira at front desk, and staff at the restaurant. Restaurant food was good.

    This apartment was a wonderful find, the resident owners Jill and Natalie ensured that everything was there for us to enjoy our stay. The well presented apartment sits in a perfect, peaceful south facing location, with its beautiful mountainous pine covered backdrop and overlooking the Bay of Roses. The apartment is ideal for a couple. A special treat during our days there in February was to awake to see the snow capped Pyrenees shining in the sun. A wonderful part of Catalonia. Take a map to enjoy its history, and many surprises.
