Our hosts made this stay BRILLIANT. Two Dutch nationals who moved to France many yrs and rebuild this house into a hotel. Very personal, very friendly. There was an option to dine with them in the evenings and that was well worth doing!! Talking and joking in a large diner kitchen, being introduced to their other guests... all while the food was being prepared. Good local cuisine, with local ingredients (eg. fresh picked mushrooms and chestnuts) [evening meal prices were more than fair]. Nice rooms, mine had a lovely walk in shower, interesting simple decor with a modern art style. Good outside space to the rear of the hotel, with several covered seating areas. Although I didn't take advantage of it, there is a nice pool, decking and sun loungers, even a Boules pitch. The region is quiet, relaxing and beautiful. Steep wooded hills, winding roads and pretty little villages. You will probably need a car / transport to get around, the villages are well spaced and you will probably be crossing between the valleys as you tour around. Our hosts had an excellent knowledge of the area and suggested many good places to visit, both nearby and further afield. Driving can be both great fun and a little challenging as the roads can be steep, rough, narrow and very twisty. I took a low sports car and managed the even the small single track mountain roads okay, albeit with care. I did, however, find one mountain road that was on the map, but was unpaved and really better suited to a 4x4... and I had to take another route. ((note to drivers: the speed bumps in the south of France are generally vicious, even at walking speed the scraping noises are terrible ! )) Come to this region looking for beauty, peace and relaxation, clean air and you will NOT be disappointed. In this village there was one Auberge, this Hotel L'experience and maybe 20 houses...

I stayed a night in chambre d’hôte during my walk GRP Tour du Tanargue. The rooms are simply wonderful. Very new and perfectly designed. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful with recommended activities in the region. Delicious breakfast. My stay was pure joy, particularly after a long day of walking. Thanks so much! I hope to return in the future.

Very nice room and surrounding gardens. Bed was comfy. The breakfast was varied and filling. The latest additions - new pool and terrace - make it even better than the pictures. Location is good, its super quiet at night but also close to some great little spots to relax next to and swim in the river. Adeleine and Sylvain are super friendly and helpful.

We has the most amazing stay with jean-louie and hid wife. We stayed in the gite and it was absolutely wonderful a nice big bed for my 6ft + husband and air conditioning, Fully equipped and with its own private veranda. The facilities were wonderful the pool clean and really well kept. We had a great breakfast each morning and jean- Louis and his wife were wonderful hosts. The property is gorgeous with stunning views.
