Very friendly and nice staff, good location by the sea, very close to restaurants and a bus stop, the room was spacious and clean, there are more than enough toilets and bathrooms, everything was very clean and well maintained, the kitchen is very well equipped, the breakfast was good, overall a very pleasant experience. Would recommend.

This is absolutely the best place to stay on Islay. Centrally located, super easy to get everywhere from here. The staff are without exception wonderful, friendly, charming, informative, and just great. Can’t say enough about the complimentary breakfast. It is a really good way to wake up and get ready for a day on the island.

It was a perfect stay on Islay! Very friendly people there, perfect, well cooked scottish breakfast. Large, comfortable, clean and quit rooms. A bar is located direct to the hotel. You can take your drinks to the outside; there is a very nice resting area across the street. We loved it. A good starting point for cycling across Islay (better than car driving when visiting the distilleries). Thanks.

We had a wonderful time at Skerrols. The property exceeded our expectations. It is a premium inn with all the amenities you would find in a 5-star hotel in a major city, while nestled away out in the country with lovely views. Our host, Tomas, was extremely helpful. His wife is the chef and prepared a perfect made-to-order breakfast. The day we were leaving, there was a storm and ferries were being cancelled. Without asking, Tomas held our room just in case we couldn’t make the crossing. (I secretly hoped for a cancellation notice from CalMac!).
