Everything was remarkable - size of the room, quality of bathroom, furniture and all.settings. The owner Jenny was very friendly and made me feel at home. The breakfast was also great. The fact that this wonderful place is some minor miles away from Hungerford does not at all matter considering how nice and wonderful this stay was. Thank you very much, 100 percent recommendable. The Bear is a historic pub in Hungerford with well appointed modern rooms (albeit with lovely exposed beams), great water pressure, and everything you need. The staff were very helpful and secured our touring bicycles in their Functions Room. The meals were excellent. While previous hotel guest were offered the Crown of England, were were offered an enormous full English breakfast - which is MUCH better. We'd stay here again.

    Fantastic pub with a really nice beer garden and patio with an outdoor pizza oven. The evening meal and breakfast were very good. We stayed for 1 night prior to going to Southampton (which is an hour away) to go on a cruise. Ideal stopping off point in a quiet location.

    Friendly, helpful staff. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom very good, with bath and shower over. Real milk in a fridge. The location, apart from the road, was ideal for an overnight stop. If we'd arrived earlier we could have joined in the weekly quiz night.
