My idea of a perfect village pub. Located in centre of quiet small village. Spacious modern room in adjacent building, so not disturbed by noise from bar. Excellent meal (can be taken in bar or restaurant). Friendly owners and staff.

Everything was perfect! So idyllic, and the photos just don't do this place justice. Only a short walk to the nearest pub (the food and cocktails were delicious!), and then back to the warm, cosiness of this beautiful hideaway! We were even greeted by a gorgeous feline on the grounds of the property, who met us from our car!

We were given a lovely welcome by Linda and her family, they really encourage you to see the working farm. Our little boy loved seeing the cows being milked and petting the calves. And the chickens walking around! The play area and pond were lovely additions meaning there's plenty to do on site. The room was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and be comfortable. We'll definitely be back again. We stayed at the haven. We will definitely be trying the breakfast next time and maybe a different cottage as we stayed in the apartment with a little one so all in one room, so will try having him in his own room so we can have an evening. The pics on booking.com don't do it justice, the kitchen was fantastic. Really spacious with so many appliances even a bread maker.

    Great location for fishing in Devon. Lots of local pools around, and we especially love that we can stay here and have our cooked breakfast to set us up for the day, then return later to a superb meal and a few beers and rums! Brilliant place.

    I booked a 2 night stay at the Half Moon Inn for myself and a friend which is a perfect location for cycling the Tarka Trail and surrounding area. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome. The room was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. The food was excellent with a good choice from the menu and also a specials board. The breakfast was also excellent with a good choice on offer. Nice beers too and all at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

    The location was ideal for us as we have friends in Highampton. Breakfast was just right ass you could order as much or as little as we wanted, The evening meal on our first night was brilliant fish and chips cooked perfectly.
