We had an exceptional night on our road trip through the UK. The Victorian house is lovingly and beautifully restored. It is spotlessly clean and exceedingly comfortable. Great starting point for hiking and visiting other locations (and villages around Peak District) by train or a visit of Chatsworth House with bus stations nearby. You can find everything you need within a walking distance of 10 minutes. To be fair it was our first stay at a cottage but it exeeded our expectations with its amazing condition. Exceptionally clean! Lovely picked furniture and detailed interior can make you sense the hosts passion for maintaining the cottage and giving you the best possible stay in a house this age. Pure joy to help maintain a nice building by a pleasant holiday stay.

Absolutely loved our time here. It is a small apartment attached to the owners beautiful home. The kind owner was there to meet us and showed us how to work everything and told us of places we could visit before leaving us to it. It was absolutely beautiful,l and so very clean. It is quite a narrow space but the way the owner has utilised the space is very impressive and effective. The lighting was also perfect outside and in. The hot tub was ready for our arrival and we had a lovely time it was so peaceful and relaxing. We also had fresh milk,bread and shortbread on arrival :). Plus some alcohol in the fridge. The kitchen was also beautiful and stocked very well and the shower room was also beautiful and clean. Overall we were very impressed and for only £135 a night great value for money. I paid £315 at a previous place for 1 night and it was very disappointing compared to this experience. Absolutely delighted. We would definitely return here 😊
