A car is definitely needed as it's apx 5 minutes drive to village and 10-15 minutes to Rethymno old town. The pool and outdoor entertaining areas were 5* and the house was generously proportioned with plenty of towels. The aircon was very effective as there was a heat wave during our visit. The location was great, as we prefer small villages that are not too crowed by other tourists. And yet, it is very close to the city centre. But the absolutely greatest thing in this accommodation is Maria. She is the warm soul of the apartment. She was always there to help us out when we had questions or when we needed help.
