The staff at this hostel are exceptionally friendly and incredibly helpful! I had a truly wonderful experience during my stay. What sets this place apart is not only their warm hospitality but also their extensive network of connections, which can assist you with a wide range of needs. I stayed in their only room so far and it has 12 beds, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The setup allowed for a comfortable and secure environment. I was able to safely store my belongings, and waking up to a stunning view each morning was a true highlight. The room is well-equipped with all the essential facilities, making for a convenient and enjoyable stay. One aspect that I particularly appreciate is their commitment to providing opportunities for the younger generation in their community. This hostel gives them a chance to work in the field of hospitality, which allows them to improve their language skills and many other things. I would say this is valuable for those who live in a remote areas where such opportunities are scarce. It's heartwarming to see this commitment from the owners whereby they provide a platform for growth. And if you wonder why I stayed here, it is because you can easily get to the starting point for the sunrise from this hostel with a 30/45-minute drive on your scooter (which I rented in Malang and yes, I drove from Malang to this hostel) and then continue your way to Bromo.

Great location! Thanks to our amazing host, we were able to walk up to Bromo and Mt. Batok just as we wanted, avoiding the crowds and groups. Davi was wonderful—he gave us the best tips to explore the area, and we enjoyed unforgettable hikes with stunning sunset and sunrise views. The room was comfortable, with a hot shower—everything we needed. We definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a more authentic experience. For meals, we had lunch and dinner on a beautiful terrace just a few minutes’ walk from the homestay.
