This is definitely one of the nicest hotels I stayed at in India and the hospitality was absolutely exceptional. You really get the feeling they genuinely love to take care of you. A little oasis of calm from all the hustle and bustle of solo travel on a motorbike. The whole family who own Udai Niwas were warm and welcoming and I loved chatting to them over breakfast. They all have a wealth of knowledge about the area and where to go etc. A really great place to stay, nothing was too much trouble. I don't normally score stays this high, but I thought it was truly worthwhile. You can eat in the Café, more western style food, or you can order more traditional Indian dishes from the restaurant and they will get it delivered. I liked the place so much I stayed an extra day just to chill out before a big ride to Jaisalmer.

Our one night stay in this property was a satisfactory experience. The location is ideal for shopping and sightseeing. The rooms are decorated and furnished to a decent level. The breakfast and dinner were of average quality and the staff didn't make any effort to better the guest experience.

Clean and friendly place to stay in a good location. It is no-frills which means it is inexpensive but still comfortable and clean. I had a good breakfast there. Ahmed understands what information or assistance travellers are likely to need which is a great help.
