This weekend we had a family drive to Ponmudi, seeking some peaceful moments away from the usual busy life. Ponmudi Dale is Mr. Biju's homestay in Kallar, en route to Ponmudi hill station which is another 15 kilometers up ahead. The homestay is located on the roadside itself, and has a scenic backyard that gives a tranquil atmosphere, complemented by the soothing Kallar river stream. The place is very quiet and has an uncrowded neighbourhood. We felt safe staying there. Spending time on the river side in the evening and early morning was a memorable experience. The homestay's top floor has a balcony kind of set up which is a small dining place with two additional beds. I liked to sleep there rather than the AC room, as you don't need AC there in the night, and can sleep peacefully by listening to the sound of the flowing river in the background. Owner Biju's hospitality was exceptional, making the stay enjoyable. There is a small "Santhamma Thattukada" nearby, they give fresh homely meals on banana leaf. Overall we had a very pleasant and relaxing experience at Ponmudi Dale.

All the necessities were present. The owner helped us arrange our parking space, as the initial parking space was not comfortable. Daily essential shops, a marketplace, and eateries are nearby. It was clean, drinking water was provided, both the ACs were working well. Overall, a comfortable experience.

    The location is awesome. The property is close to the kallar river. A bath in the kallar river is very much refreshing to the body and mind. The host Mr Biju & family are so good and very nice and polite to their guests. They provide homely food which is very tasty. I really enjoyed the stay in Ponmudi Dale.It is very clean and I felt at home. Ponmudi is just 17km from the property. 100% satisfied and always recommend Ponmudi Dale.

    Host Mr biju and family are very cordial and very tendive to our needs at any time required. Location was very beautiful, calm and quiet with proximity to the river in which a bath eases and refresh our minds.

    The location was good, right next to a small river, Liked the calmness, and also the fact that there is only two rooms which is good for families to take their own place. The Service was outstanding, the coupe who runs the place took good care of us.
