Owner speaks perfectly English and is very helpful. He was very thoughtful about our health, giving us details on what to do during altitude acclimatation. He also helped us reserve taxis for trips to Indus Valley and to Nubra Valley, and for doing our laundry. Rooms are new, very clean and very confortable. Clean boiled water is available for guests all the time. Meals can be taken there. Not very far from city center.

I have travelled all over the world, visited many many cities and stayed in all kinds of hotels. Generally I don't write reviews for hotels as I find them mostly fine, though nothing extraordinary to write about. However, I feel compelled to write a review for Rock Castle Residency of Leh due to the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. The room we got was fine - spacious, clean, and with a large comfortable bed. The balcony of the room had a superb view of the neighbouring hill and of the mountains further away. The guest house had a cute dining hall where the chef's dishes are very much like home cooked food - simple, fresh, tasty. But what delighted us most about the place were the gracious, warmhearted and helpful hosts. Family run and managed by individuals including Rigzin, Nordom and Prince, we felt absolutely at home during our stay. In fact, we had issues with acclimatizing for 3 days, and I had to take oxygen support during the nights. Rigzin and team helped us with everything, and without any hesitation accomodated our requests for extending our stay in Leh and then also cancelling the remaining stay without penalties when we decided to bail out and return to Delhi. They fed us delicious meals made from vegetables grown in their own garden, and even brought tea and meals to our room (against their house policy) when I was not feeling well. We weren't able to explore Ladakh fully this time, but if I ever come back to Leh I would most definitely stay at Rock Castle Residency only.

Adu's place, and his wonderful wife, really stands out among the guest houses in Lela. It is spacious, well maintained and clean. The staff is dedicated and willing to help. Some rooms have a balcony. A large garden overlooks a wonderful mountain view. What more can you ask for?

What an absolutely wonderful place! I stayed two nights in the female dorm (with two beds).The rooms are minimalistic, spacious and clean. I liked the relaxed vibe at the hostel. There's plenty of space in the common room and patio to relax, socialize with others or read a book. The owner is very helpful, so sweet (he surprised me with a cake on my birthday!) and very fun to talk with. I enjoyed my stay so much here. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed place to stay in Leh!

Heart and Heaven Homestay was like a home from the first moment. The location is great, just one street away from the main market, yet on a quiet side street, making it perfect for rest and relaxation. The homestay is very stylish, everything is clean, the rooms are huge and comfortable, the furniture is beautiful. The whole place has a really welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, it was just so good to come back here. The rooftop terrace with the full panorama is simply breathtaking, the most beautiful view you can imagine. But what really makes this place special are the wonderful people who run it. Not only are they super nice, funny, helpful, and flexible, but they also have a special ability to build community. The rooftop terrace has been the scene of countless deep conversations, big laughs, and cool music. Still smiling if I think back, full of amazing memories. :) Thank you for everything, hope to see you again somewhere, sometime.

Location of hostel is walkable from Leh market. Best property with well spaced dormitory rooms. Have cool cafeteria in rooftop where we can have refreshments. No need to step out for food, all meals available and in budget.

I recently stayed at a hostel in Leh and had an exceptional experience. The place was neat and clean, with friendly people and great food. Tousef, the owner, was incredibly helpful in planning our entire trip, including arranging vehicles and stays within our budget. He was always available on calls whenever we needed assistance. This is a must-stay place if you're looking for an affordable option with a nice view and genuinely helpful people. Highly recommended!
