we really enjoyed our stay. the interior was picked tastefully. the couch was especially comfortable for being so pleasant to look at. big fan of functional graceful and timeless design. it even turns into a far above average mattress. wish i had a sofa like this at home. :) there could easily and comfortably fit 4 people into one standard double room thanks to this couch. we were only two. we only tried the couch as a bed because unfortunately even though the tv is mounted on an arm it can not be turned enough to make an in bed tv session possible. the bathroom is spacious and practical. the view over akureyri makes it even more enjoyable to stay at hotel halond. the organic shower lotion and shampoo were a well appreciated detail. the room temperature was easy to adjust. all in all i will recommend the hotel to family and friends. an early check in was possible which was awesome. takk fyrir mig.

Lovely apartment in Akureyri, close to everything downtown. Clean, modern, spacious interior with a well-appointed kitchen. They even had a free washer/dryer for guests to use, which was a welcome surprise.

Oh wow. Such a magical place. Hot tub with the view over the valley of mountains -it surely is in the top 10 of the views I have had in my whole life. We also did a snowman and my kids played with the sleigh given by the owner ,in the snow. You gotta visit it. It’s something that is worth experiencing. Clean ,great beds ,well equipped kitchen and bathroom with everything needed. Thank you so much

The cabins surrounded by trees was a lovely. The cabin itself is small but very clean with everything you need. Providing housecoats for the hot tub is a nice added touch. Just down the road is a little fishing village that has a free open air hot tub overlooking the Harbour where whales are often spotted! The owners were away but Sue was very helpful in directing us to the best fish and chips at Baccala!

Absolutely beautiful! Great location - walking distance to everything. Comfortable beds, wonderfully appointed kitchen - great shower. Every detail is so thoughtful and gives such a cosy welcoming feeling. Wonderful host, extremely attentive and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!

Really happy with our stay at K16 Apartments. The location was ideal for our short stay in Akureyri, just minutes away from bars and restaurants, with free parking on site for our hire car. Apartment was simply furnished, very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities, very warm heating (needed given the -17c temperatures outside) wifi worked well, and access was easy with door codes. Overall a great value for money base for a long weekend exploring Northern Iceland. Would happily return
