But what really makes this place special are Marco & Richard. From the very first moment, they make you feel at home. We felt incredibly comfortable, cared for and protected. Even more than that. We felt as if good friends had invited us into their home. You also need to mention the incredible breakfast. Everything is so delicious. And Richard is really taking care of your preferences. Parabita is centrally placed and an ideal spot for touring all sorts of places such as Gallipoli, along the coast, which was wild and beautiful on the day we visited We also went to Santa Maria di Leuca - a great storm was battering the shore. The recommendation from our hosts to visit the restaurant Veneri in Parabita was a good one - we had a wonderful lunch and spoke to the owner whose father was at the Olympics, taking part in Karate. Although the pool was not open, naturally enough, we found the peace and quiet just what we needed to recuperate from Naples., and even Taranto - though there, the archaeological museum and castle were real highlights of our tour of southern Italy. What most impressed us was Donna Flor's talents as a chef - your can order a meal in the morning and it will be ready when you come back, tired from your travels. We loved the décor of the room and entire house - and we would love to visit again. There is a fridge in the room, which is good if you are touring around.

    A beautifully restored building with well maintained grounds and beautiful swimming pool. We stayed 4 nights to look around the area well positioned to do this although quite remote location. All staff very friendly and helpful, we ate at the on-site restaurant one night and enjoyed our meal. Outside functions held in the restaurant while we were there did not disturb us at all.

    Very clean, modern and quiet location. Spacious, well-preserved estate with good breakfast, large pool and cute kittens. Location is great to reach all dream beaches north and south of Gallipoli within 45mins. Rental car is required.
