Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

Our stay at Art Yala Boutique Resort was absolutely wonderful! Muda and his team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was amazing, and the location is simply stunning—perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the safari into Yala National Park that Muda organised for us. It was a seamless and memorable experience. The team’s thoughtfulness didn’t stop there—they even helped us book a restaurant at our next destination, which was incredibly helpful and kind. We stayed for two nights and genuinely wished we had stayed longer. Thank you, Muda and team, for such a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to come back!

I will give this a 10/10 out of how much the owner provided for me. The view outside is amazing, just in front of the lake. So peaceful! So the room was okay. But the best thing for me was that the owner provided me a free tour around the place, watching sunset, crocodiles, bats and owls. He also took me to the atm, supermarket, and picked me up from the bus when arriving. Everything for free. And I can also recommend going with the safari that he is providing. That guide was also amazing, experienced, and affordable.

I can’t recommend it more 😊 Nalin will do everything to make your stay better He is always trying to add more value to your stay offering new activities, recommendations and experiences He arranged a dinner in the jungle where I could cook rotti with the locals and even spot some crocodiles and elephants!! The property is spacious and perfect for a family of four, with common areas as well as the two bedrooms. The washing machine and drying space was also a great addition for us after a week or so of moving about! Dinner and breakfast were included and were absolutely delicious home cooked Sri Lankan dishes, which we loved. The absolute highlight though was the level of attention from Udara, who is a phenomenal host. He organised our safari in advance (which was a fabulous experience) and made everything so easy. He made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive, and also took us to local beaches and guided us around to make sure we saw as much of the local area as we could. Highly recommend!

Nice and comfortable tents with private outdoor bathroom, providing a very special experience! The fans kept the tent cool at night. Lovely porch area to relax. Breakfast and dinner BBQ were excellent. The hosts were very kind and welcoming.

The best stay we had in our entire trip around Sri Lanka! Just can’t recommend it enough! Very clean room, big clean bathroom with hot shower and an amazing yard with lake view. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast, some of the best meals we had. Lovely host and very attentive with our needs. Hardworking staff - the results are impeccable. They also arranged a wonderful safari trip, we would like to also thank Indika for making sure we have an amazing experience! Thank you Saffron Lake Yala! 🥰
