One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! An absolutely incredible guesthouse with the most lovely hosts, and crazy good value for money. We had a beautifully decorated room, and there were several hangout spots both indoors and outdoors that you were welcome to spend time in. The breakfasts/dinners are served al fresco under a pergola overlooking the valley with rice paddies and beautiful birdsong. One of the absolute highlights was the free cooking class to make your dinner - we made 4-5 different curries with our rice and curry order, with the most delightful chef patiently waiting for us to weakly shred fresh coconut to make sambal!! About a 10-15 min tuktuk ride into town for an explore, which was very reasonably priced. I'm so glad we stayed here a bit away from the centre of town rather than in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hosts are also so welcoming and lovely, and speak excellent English. They also helped organise transport for us to Nuwara Eliya to our next stay. This was a genuinely edenic experience and we would absolutely come stay here again on a future visit to Sri Lanka.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Sole for our family vacation, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the stunning surroundings and the warm hospitality of the villa staff. One of the highlights of our stay was the private pool area. Without any doubt it was the best stay of our trip. The house owner is an extremely humble man. He has a cute little family living at the villa too which gives such a homely and safe feeling. His little girl Chloe was our favorite part of the stay we miss her so much. The property owner cooperated with us to an extreme extent. He even gave us complimentary pancakes for our anniversary. He was so fast in replying to our messages. He guided us on every step. Because of him, our Kandy stay became perfect!

I had a fantastic stay at Rivora Residence during my Sri Lanka trip. The room was nice and spotlessly clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, and the WiFi worked perfectly. What stood out most was the stunning interior design—everything was impeccably clean and beautifully styled. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing 2 nights stay - had a warm welcome after arrival, staff was super friendly and helpful with everything we asked about - a private yoga lesson, train tickets, laundry etc.. their tuk-tuk driver Susantha who took us around, was also a nice and modest person. Very cosy hotel, with enjoyable shady restaurant surrounded by greenery and pleasant pool area. I especially appreciate a small, but for me important thing - usage of metal straws (instead of one-time plastic ones). Thank you again :)!

We had an amazing stay at Summerfield. Lesly and his wife were super hospitable and friendly, always happy to share stories and do everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We spent half a day on a great trip with Lesly — he showed us some incredibly beautiful places around Kandy that we would have never found on our own. On the way back, we stopped for some traditional tea, enjoyed a stunning view, and had a lovely chat. The room was very spacious — the biggest we’ve had so far during our month-long trip around Sri Lanka. It had super comfortable, adjustable armchairs where we could read, relax, and listen to the sounds of nature surrounding the entire house. We’re really happy we chose Summerfield and would definitely love to come back.
