The Hideaway is the perfect place to stay! The house and premises are beautiful, quiet and peaceful. We had our own TukTuk so it didn’t bother us that it’s a bit further out. Samantha, his wife and employees were super friendly and helpful. He showed us around his garden and explained all about the different plants, we ate fresh fruit straight from the tree and picked a watermelon and coconut to have for breakfast. Breakfast and dinner were freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Before leaving, we were even allowed to plant a coconut tree. Playing badminton underneath palm trees was also a fantastic experience! Samantha also helped us plan a two day hiking tour for the next day which was a great and unexpected add-on to our trip! Communication was very easy, both via WhatsApp and in person.

Excellent place for everything, from the facility (the super comfortable bed, the stylish decoration, the beautiful pool) to the impeccable staff and the top quality food. We booked for 2 nights and extended as we enjoyed the place so much. The staff is super nice, speak perfect English and super efficient. A lot of wildlife around the property for nature lovers. All the food (both Western and Asian) we had were excellent at an affordable price. After 8 weeks of having different curries in Sri Lanka, I am confident to say that Bird Park makes the best curry. There are plenty of on-site activities to keep you entertained too. Overall a 10/10.

My stay at Iduwara Arana was absolutely delightful! From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. Grand Colonial Viveka has the best view of Kurunegala lake and it's located closer to Kurunegala city centre. Hospitality is high end, food is delicious and staff is very friendly. I felt like home with these beautiful people around. Thank you Maureen (Manager) and Senerath (MD) for managing this beautiful place alive. I'll definitely comeback when I visit Srilanka next time. Rivendell twisted tree What an incredibly beautiful place this is. When I arrived I could barely exit the taxi, as I was feeling incredibly sick. The chef supported me while I walked towards a chair. During our stay I needed to rest and stay in bed. Everyday the owner of the residence called to check up on me and offered me a dokter. It felt like he genuinely cared. So did the other staff members who were super attentive and made sure I didn’t lack anything. I can’t highlight it enough, the surroundings here are amazing. The perfect place to relax in the nature while being looked after by great staff.
