Our stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles was nothing short of magical! As part of our Sri Lankan tour, we arrived on 07/07/2025, and from the moment we stepped into this peaceful retreat, we felt completely at home. We requested a guided hike, a nature walk, and an educational tour focused on the rich flora and fauna of the Knuckles region—and the team delivered beyond our expectations. Every experience was thoughtfully curated, offering the perfect balance of adventure and insight. The infinity pool with its breathtaking mountain views quickly became our favorite spot to relax. The authentic Sri Lankan meals were a true culinary delight, bursting with flavor and tradition. One of the most memorable evenings was spent by the crackling bonfire, enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner under the stars—pure magic! Nice little two bedroom villa! Recently built. It was clean and the host family were just next door to help with anything we needed. They took us to a Lake where we could swim and the temple with the giant Buda. We originally only planned this place for a stop over on our way more inland to break up a long drive but we were pleasantly surprised with how nice the area was and how many things that were to do around

The man running the hotel is very nice, the food is good (and a lot) and the hotel is in a very nice location. From the inside the hotel looks a bit older, but that's fair for the price you pay.

This was the best staying we have had in two months in Sri Lanka. The house is the perfect size for a couple, everything worked very well and the views were breathtaking. The dog that was living in the garden was super cute. We were so happy with the way Eric was always available for any inquiries we had. Specially recommended the food, we order dinner and it was such a privilege to be able to have a wonderful dinner in the terrace.

Rajiva was an excelllent host and guid. We spent here magnificent three days. The surrounding tea plantations and mountains have amazing views. The area is very authentic without many tourists, but with friendly local people, beautiful nature and lot of wild birds. The accommodation is very comfortable, beds as well. The balcony view is the best, we loved good breakfast with this view. The owner arranged for us transport to the next destination. Once again, thanks a lot Rajiva.
