We stayed in the villa at the top, which offered a stunning view thanks to the large panoramic doors and windows. We stayed in Room 19, which turned out to be spacious and cozy. It had all the necessary amenities: air conditioning, a comfortable bed and mattress (just like home), new beautiful and comfortable furniture, nice bathroom with a large shower, a bidet, and a washing machine. We were pleased to have a kitchen, a refrigerator, and household items. The territory is simply magnificent, it was looked after every day, the place is full of beautiful trees where birds sing and build nests. You can see how grows mango, papaya, lime, bamboo, etc. It’s like a paradise. There’s also a pool on the premises. It was nice to dip in and spend time there. Staff:
 The first thing that comes to mind about the staff is their smiles and politeness. I thank everyone who works in this place for their kindness and friendliness. Sasini always tried to assist us with any inquiries: helping with little requests, organizing excursions, and you could talk to her about the culture and traditions in Sri Lanka. She was very responsive and kind, even giving me a small gift to remember our stay. Driver Sandaru was always friendly and quickly took us to the necessary places in a tuk-tuk. He recommended visit a turtle hatchery and took us to nice beaches: Dalawela Beach and Jungle Beach, which are not far from the villa. He even gifted us some incense, it was nice. Every 3-4 days, we were offered cleaning, and they vacuumed, changed the sheets, towels, and wiped all surfaces and mirrors. However, you could also request cleaning earlier if needed. Breakfast was included in the price:
A buffet was offered mostly local food, but it was always varied. One day my wife mentioned that she likes the Aralia flower, and later the staff presented it to her just like that, it was a very kind and nice gesture.

Habibi hostel is set in a lovely building up the hill from Unawatuna, cool chill out space on rooftop. Guy who runs it is top notch and really made our stay! Rooms are lovely and v spacious and have nice balconies to sit out. Also in close proximity to the other beach in Unawatuna, Jungle Beach.

Amazing accommodation experience! I was staying for 9 nights. The location is very good: not so far from city, but groceries, banks are near. Not so far from train station but you will never hear the trains. Wild nature. Cabins are very clean, good equipped. Washmachine is available. Place for parking is available and owner helped with motorbike renting. The breakfasts were overwhelming! Everyday fresh, every day new option, generous portions. Once owners arranged a local-style dinner 😍 The owner was very helpful and friendly, did a much for my comfortable staying, thank you very much! ❤️

We regret only staying one night in this wonderful hotel... We really enjoyed the beautiful setting, the swimming pool, the very clean and comfortable room and the delicious dinner and breakfast!     This place is just perfect for everything you need for a comfortable and affordable stay. The value for money is incredible, with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, fridge and wifi all available. Sometimes I worry about staying in ‘non-AC/fan’ rooms but the fan was super strong and I actually felt abit cold which is great for me in this heat! Additionally, the location is less than a 10minute walk to the main road will all shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend and will be back if I need somewhere to stay in Unawatuna!

    Great location! Very near to the beach and had many restaurants nearby. Big rooms equipped with wifi and water heater. Great view from the balcony. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Very fast responses over text and calls. Would definitely recommend it for people with budget trips.

    The apartment was very clean and comfortable. A/C was working perfectly. The bathroom was clean as well and the hot water was working very well. It was nice to have a fridge and little kitchen area. Both, the owner and house keeper were very friendly and helpful. They made sure if everything‘s fine on a regular basis. The owner also arranged a scooter rental for us. The location was very quiet and at night there weren’t any noises so that we could sleep very well. Thanks for a great stay! We would definitely come back :)

    Judie with her lovely family and staff was the best part of my stay in Unawatuna. I started my Sri Lanka trip with a nice cooking class and it was the best dish & taste I’ve ever had so far. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. It’s also a quit location surrounded by tress. I extended for two more nights to see some more near this place like Galle and Ahangama.
