Roshan, his family and their staff were delightful hosts. Very helpful and organised our Safari at Wilpattu National Park which is only a few minutes drive away and our transfer back to Negombo the next day. We had a beautiful, lunch, dinner and breakfast prepared for us which was some of the best food we ate during our entire trip. The room was clean, attractive and comfortable.

The food and service at The Backwater's Lodge was exceptional and even though we missed our flight connection they rearranged everything without any issue. I recommend a swim in the river after a day safari!

Wild wadi is the place if your up for a wild get away. Surrounded by the beauty of wildlife and nature wild wadi has alot to offer. At our stay we were able to travel all the way to thambapanni via safari and breakfast in the jungle. Towards the evening kayaking in the lagoons and later endless boat rides over the lagoon followed by delicious seafood bbq for dinner. My family was able to relax and have an awesome time at our stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to visit again.

Our stay at the Wilpattu Safari Resort was truly memorable and highly enjoyable. The resort is brilliantly located, offering the ultimate convenience as it is right near the entrance of the Wilpattu National Park, making early morning safari trips seamless. Its architecture is stunning and perfectly suited to the natural surroundings, creating an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and genuinely connected to the wilderness. The rooms are very comfy; we especially appreciated the comfort of the bedding, guaranteeing a great night's sleep after a long day of game viewing. However, the true highlight of our visit was the exceptional friendliness of the staff, particularly Ravindu, the Assistant Manager. His attentive service and warm demeanor were outstanding. It’s clear he truly enjoys hosting his guests, always going the extra mile with a genuine smile to ensure every need is met. Despite the very difficult situation following the terrible floods Sugath and his dedicated team did an amazing job of looking after us. Even though there were some damaged roads and facilities, we were treated exceptionally well by everyone there including a wonderful day safari to the National Park organised by Wilds Wilpattu. Also to note this park is very quiet compared to others such as Yala as the amount of visitors and their jeeps is far lower and therefore the enjoyment of the safari tour is even greater. We were really impressed with the effort already being made by the local community to repair any damaged roads and feel confident that the area will quickly be up and running as normal and should definitely be on your list to visit.

Very nice experience we had at this accommodation 👌 The members of the staff are very kind and you get this family warmth feeling when you stay at this place. Dinner is just amazing!!❤️ homemade food full of different flavors and made with a lot of love. For the rest everything was well arranged with the safari tours. 100% recommended 👌

Great place and great host! Thanks Anton for hosting us :) only 3 km from Wilpattu park entrance, small but very nice sweeming pool, and a quite place with wonderful pond with birds on the backyard.
