The team is incredibly hospitable and makes you feel you are being part of the family. The scenery is simply stunning! Rarely found a place so close to paradise, the beach and the dunes behind were just incredible. The rooms were very comfortable, great space and nice design. The excursions on horseback were just unbelievable; 1.5hours on an endless beach, seeing nobody!

Our stay at Villa des Hauts Mogador was an absolute dream. Nestled in the fragrant peace of the North African countryside around Essaouira, the villa offers a perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and Moroccan charm. The villa itself is a thoughtful example of understated design, with unexpected vistas, tasteful decor, and stunning views of the surrounding hills and sunsets over the sea. The spacious and comfortable rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. The highlight, however, is the lovely pool, which offers a happy escape from normal life. The warm hospitality of the owners, Nadia and Pierre, along with the attentive service of the staff, made our stay truly unforgettable. Malak and Sadia, in particular, were exceptional, preparing delicious meals and ensuring our every need was met. The villa's location is ideal, it’s a peaceful retreat whilst still being within easy reach of Essaouira's medina and beaches. The nearby restaurants, recommended by the villa's staff, provided some excellent culinary experiences. Villa des Hauts Mogador is a hidden gem that offers a truly authentic Moroccan experience of kindness and pleasure. We highly recommend this villa to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable getaway.

We had a really memorable two-night stay at Dar Danse, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, Julie’s warm and accommodating nature made us feel completely at home. Amin was incredible with our son, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and cared for. The massage and hammam experience were a nice touch. The team even thoughtfully scheduled it so I could enjoy the sunset with my family in between treatments! When our son got tired before dinner arrived, the staff graciously brought the meal to our room without hesitation. Their kindness and attentiveness were deeply appreciated. Dar Danse is stunning. The property itself is filled with charm, from the inviting smell of incense throughout to the cozy fire indoors (a lovely touch in January) and the fire pits outside that create a magical atmosphere in the evenings. The quiet beaches are literally just a stone’s throw away at the end of the lovely gardens. Animal lovers will be happy here with donkeys, a horse, many dogs (which you are encouraged to take for a walk). Also Chameleons and Mr CousCous the cat! If you can, we highly recommend booking the big rooftop room. The 360-degree panoramic views are simply breathtaking, and waking up to that scenery from bed was a dream. The food was exceptional and fussy kids can be well accommodated. Every meal felt like a treat. Dar Danse is a truly special place, and we left feeling really nourished. It was very beautiful! We had everything we needed and a wonderfully quiet and calm space to relax after a big round trip through this beautiful country. The rooms and facility were perfectly clean and well built. We felt at home and well cared for. And the best Tajin we had in Morocco!

The riad dar Awil was the second at during my trip and it did set up expectations for the others. The service from the personal is excellent. They are polite, professional and made sure I have a quick check in and a comfortable stay. Rooms were super clean, the hotel seems to be new, the design was super cozy. Breakfast was great. Thank you to everyone at Riad Dar Awil for making my stay so memorable. I could gladly return and recommend this riad to anyone visiting Essaouira.
