We rent a car which made us easier to move around. However, the place itself is worth staying. I think it used to be a mansion that turned into a small and cozy boutique hotel so it has some history. There are grocers, take aways and pharmacies in Ghaxaq. There are bus services to the seaside resorts in the South of Malta (Marsascala and Marsaxlokk) and to the capital Valletta, although a car is useful.
