Malta is quite small, thus it's hard to find a "rural" quiet place but Mulberies pleasantly surprised me. It is conveniently located close to the airport and Marsaxlokk (Sunday local fish market) and ~3mins walk from the bus stop (92, 93, 204). The room we stayed (11) overlooked the garden and had a big terrace. The room itself is big, well designed, bathroom is clean, bed is comfortable. There is an A/C to heat/cool the room. Breakfast is light but OK -- Malta is well known foodie destination thus leave some space for lunch and dinner :)

I and my family needed the place near the airport to survive the flight cancellation. They made our room ready before official time 12 instead of normal 14. We had to leave next morning very early. Therefore, I don't know about the quality of the breakfast, but, I can tell that they assembled nice "early leaver package" for us. They also organised a cheap eCab taxi to the airport (6,5€) . From ordinary tourist point of view - the Sea was just some bus stops away, so we enjoyed a sandy beach (Il-Bajja s-Sabiha) and about 20C swimming water (in beginning of December) in Marsaxlokk.

Spacious studio with a balcony, bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, even own washing machine and dryer. Clean and comfortable, everything was perfect! We were shown how everything works and given the codes to enter the room and the building as well, so no worrying about losing key cards or anything. The studio felt like a mini home away from home.

    One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve seen jn a while, with incredibly gracious staff, who took their time to make us feel welcomed and cared for. The delicious local breakfast started the day and the pool was a great evening relaxation. Loved the location as well, as it was off the beaten path and very quiet.

    Michelle was a lovely host and very helpful for visit recommendations during our stay and kindly offered to do a wash of our sheets and towels in the middle of our stay. The apartment was beautiful and very clean ,only a 10 minute drive away from the airport, and our host waited up to greet us despite a delayed flight arrival to 1am. The terrace courtyard was very pretty and a nice place to relax with a glass of wine.

    Incredibly quiet location. Lots of space for three people (three bedrooms). Inner yard with small balcony on the first floor. Everything was exceptionally clean and new. I have stayed in many apartments - that was the cleanest I have seen, spotless. Location close to Valletta, sizeable grocery store 5 min walk away, open 24h. Other shops are nearby. Safe area, few tourists, only locals. Bus stop to Valletta and other places 5 min walk. The owners of the apartment are great, they really take care of their property and their quests.
