Well, what should I say? Let me assess this accomodation based on my experiences of staying in lots of hostels and guesthouses in the past and also as a former backpacker hostel manager. No doubt, I really enjoyed my stay here. Congratulations, Sojourn Beds and Cafe, you have topped the table in the first position out of all the past hostels and guesthouses in my past trips! I love the stylish, heritage and meticulous interior design of this hostel and its vibe and atmosphere. Rooms are really clean and comfortable with essential facilities like plugs, hangers, lights and also a comfy mattress. I had a quality sleep here. The toilets are really clean and I enjoyed using them. Drinking water, coffee and tea are provided round the clock. The location of this hostel is perfect in the city center near to the lake and most of the attractions, and also only few steps away from many food eateries that open in the day and night. Most importantly here, the staff, not only they are exceptionally friendly and helpful, I can really feel their true genuineness in connecting and interacting with the guests, they are just so enjoyable to talk to. Thank you so much Lin, Trisha and Tang. Here in this hostel, I can easily know other friends too. Here in this hostel, I have nothing to complain, nothing to fault. Surely I will come back and stay again and recommend it to my friends! Vicente.

I recently had the pleasure of a staycation at Rumah No 5 in Taiping, and it was nothing short of amazing. The house is beautifully designed — Every corner feels thoughtfully curated, with cozy decor, ambient lighting, and 5 star hotel like touches that give the space real character. It's clear the hosts have put a lot of love into creating a welcoming environment. ✓ Air conditioned room ✓ Electric Kettle ✓ Water heater for shower ✓ Induction cooktop with cooking appliances ✓ Fridge ✓ Laundry - Washing Machine and Dryer ✓ Smart TV ✓ Free Wi-Fi The location is also ideal. It’s just a short drive to Taiping Lake Gardens and other attractions, but still feels secluded enough to enjoy total privacy. Not to mention the great host, En. Azmil who was previously a manager at 5-star-hotel in Langkawi- even let us checked-in earlier than the appointed time and thoughtful enough to show us around the house and explained every little details. If you’re looking for a cozy, peaceful, and stylish staycation spot in Taiping, I highly recommend Rumah No 5. Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or a group of friends, it's a special place that makes you feel right at home with an affordable price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I give a high rate for hospitality. Host was kind enough to allow us checked in a little early and pretty responsive to all of my queries prior and during our stay. There are some points to note for those who wish to stay here. Good points first... As at time of my stay, the unit is looking very new. It looks recently renovated with new paint and tiles all around. Nice touch of decor and necessity. Kitchenware and all about kitchen is also commendable. A new fridge, filtered water dispenser; with cold and hot water outlet - and plenty of cookware. Guests are also supplied with generous amount of complementary instant coffee and tea (and crackers). The water supply is boosted by an electrical pump so its good consistent pressure in all bath as well as kitchen. Bed, pillow, blankets - comfy! Bunk beds are sturdy metals. Wifi works - good enough. Spacious overall interior. And everything inside was clean

The home is conveniently located near Taiping town centre. Near all the tourist attractions. Check in is easy and the host Aaron is so friendly and helpful. Home is squacky clean and all that are needed are supplied. Place is very big and 12 of us stayed comfortably. There is a mini football game table and it takes us to our childhood day. Highly recommended.

The house is spacious with extra space of compound and outdoor settee. The owner generously offered us to pluck rambutan available in the compund.area. Inside the house there are ample numbers of hangers so no worries where to hang or dry clothes. The owner also thoughtful to place a massage chair which is a rare advantage and an added plus point for this homestay.

    Great location right in the centre of town and 20 minutes walk from the railway station. Plenty of restaurants and a mall nearby, also within 10 minutes walk of the lake gardens and several museums. Owners/staff were very friendly and welcoming. The whole hostel and cafe was very clean, much better than other places we have stayed at a similar price. Biggest surprise was that the cafe had a great selection of craft beers from around the world, prices were decent for Malaysia which can be very expensive for drinking.

    The location is strategic, its located near by police quarters so its quite secure in term of surrounding. Complete with facility and very clean. Very affordable and ease friendly to access even you reach at nite time to check in.

    Hotel is still new considering its only 8 months since they've operated. Very clean. Room is spacious. Bed is big. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. All special request was prepared well. The slide from level 3 going down was fun. we kinda flew down cos it was fast. We only stayed one night but service was exceptional. They gave us a free gift upon checking out even though the rate was cheap and affrodable. Strategic location right smack at town. Just walk out of the hotel and you can enjoy food, drinks, malls and morning markets.
