We didn’t eat breakfast or dinner on site - we had dinner in Tuatapere which was only a short drive away. The room was very tastefully decorated and I loved the polished concrete floor. I was in the backpackers accommodation and it was standard for what I was expecting - basic but everything I needed for a quick stay. Rooms were warm, beds comfy for budget prices. Showers didn't scrimp on the pressure - great for sore muscles from coming off the Hump Track. Couple of cobwebs high up here and there but generally a good standard of clean and tidy.
